About Anita Bartholomew
"A Secret Between Friends," a TV movie starring
Lynda Carter, was inspired by a story of Anita’s that appeared in YM
magazine. She was also engaged as a researcher and consultant on the
script. As a developmental and substantive editor (aka "book doctor"), Anita focuses on fiction, narrative non-fiction, and memoir but she has also helped hone prescriptive non-fiction proposals and manuscripts; short stories; and magazine articles. Among the books on which Anita has consulted editorially are the bestselling Strong Women Stay Young (Bantam, 2000); Lung Cancer: Myths, Facts, Choices - and Hope (W.W. Norton, 2002); The Probiotics Revolution (Bantam 2007); and Halfway to Each Other (Guideposts 2009).
She has recently completed a novel, inspired partly by
local legend, about the quirky little house where she lives in Sarasota,
Florida.
